About Us

In 2006 IMS was founded by three driving forces having diverse backgrounds within the motor incident sector. Our diversity of knowledge has continued to strengthen perspectives on the challenges posed and the solutions to solve and create efficiencies.

Our focus is to utilise SMART solutions through innovative use of the latest and ever changing communication and software technologies.  

The jewel in our crown (in addition to our amazing team members) is our leading claims management system; incident to resolution (I2R).  I2R enables us to offer exceptional levels of service and limitless management information which sets us ahead of the competition.

COVID UPDATE

In our ongoing effort to ensure COVID secure working practices, our COVID risk assessment has been reviewed by the Environmental Health Officer at Bedford Borough Council.  They have now validated that the measures we have put in place are in line with existing legislation, COVID-19 protocols and sector-specific UK Government Guidance ‘Working Safely during COVID-19’.

Our Founders

IMS starting in 2006 predominantly as a Desktop Engineering service, created by our 3 founders:

Andy Tunnicliffe

Eng Tech, AAE, LCG, FIMI, A Inst AEA, MFIEA, MIRTE, MSOE, ATA VDA

Over 40 years’ experience in motor vehicle repair and starting as an apprentices painter / panel beater, Andy then became an estimator and part of a Bodyshop management team. He soon moved to become a motor vehicle engineer and progressed through a number of high profile roles with insurers and accident managers.

With his extensive accreditation and memberships as a qualified engineer Andy has a formidable reputation within Accident Repair Industry.

Louise Tunnicliffe

With 30 years’ experience within the claims and insurance management sector, Louise has a vast breadth of operation management knowledge in many specialist areas such as:

  • Uninsured Loss Recovery
  • Claims Handling
  • Fleet Control
  • Credit Hire / Repair
  • Total Loss Recovery
  • Repair Progress

A driving force behind the overriding values of IMS, Louise’s inspiring ethos of building and retaining a supportive, rewarding, respectful and family orientated working environment is something that is championed and is key to IMS’s success to date.

Simon Young

Over 20 years’ experience within the Accident Repair and Retail Motor Trade. 

Simon has held a number of positions within the industry starting as an apprentice HGV Mechanic before moving into the Accident Repair Industry as a technician within a BMW Approved Repair Centre. Here he progressed through the role of estimator to Manager. 

Since then Simon held a number of After Sales Manager roles within franchised dealer groups before starting his IMS journey.
